Meet Molly!

Meet Molly, a Nursing major.

Africa has been on my heart for a long time, so I am quite excited to be a part of this wonderful opportunity. I am eager to learn about the different cultures, meet new people, and ultimately, share the love of JC with those across the world.

I would like to be lifted up through words to combat the fears of feeling like I'm not prepared, fears of sickness, and anxiety of flying. I would also like to be lifted up through words of compassion and growth for our team and for those we will be meeting on our journey.

Meet Tim!

Meet Tim, a Kinesiology major with an emphasis in Strength and Conditioning.

I am going back to Africa because I long for the people of Africa to know the Father and build a relationship with Him.  The people are so genuine and with the Love of the Father, they could impact their village, country, continent, and even the world.  I learned so much from these people last summer and they desire to learn the Truth.  The Father has used them in my life, and I want to be able to be used by Him in theirs.

Please lift me up that I might have wisdom to understand the people and their culture, words to speak only the Truth, strength to not grow weary physically or spiritually, and faith that will not be moved.

Meet Bethany!

Meet Bethany, an English education major.

During the beginning of the fall semester, I felt the Father leading me to go on a trip this summer.  I realized that I had been living a comfortable life in which I wasn't making an effort to proclaim the Father's truth to others.  No longer content living that kind of life, I began seeking the Father, and I felt He was leading me to build relationships with the people of Africa.  Ever since making the commitment to go to Africa, my excitement and desire to serve has only increased.

Please lift me up that I will stay strong physically, mentally, and spiritually throughout the entire process, and that the Father will use me to truly build relationships with and serve the people we meet.

Meet Jenna!

Meet Jenna, a nursing major.

I have recently felt the Father calling me out of my comfort zone and into our suffering world. He has shown me that the whole purpose of this life is to bring Him glory and to love His people deeply and passionately in His name. As I prepare for this trip, I would greatly appreciate you lifting up our team that we might be a light to the beautiful people of Africa and that the Father's name would be made famous as we share His Word.

Meet Lori!

Meet Lori, a Junior Pre-Counseling major.

I want to go to Africa so that I can share the Good News. Also that I may gain a better understanding and compassion for the Father's people in other countries.

Lift me up that I don't get anxiety about the trip or any other issues like school, etc. That I fully rely on the Father and don't ignore any worries that I may have.

Meet Kyle!

Meet Kyle, a freshmen Applied Ministry major with an emphasis in Youth Ministry.

I feel like the Father is calling me to serve overseas after my years of working with youth. I have always felt a desire to go to Africa and when I found out I could go to Africa and serve, I couldn't pass up the opportunity.
Others can lift me up by asking the Father for consistency in my quiet times--that they are meaningful not just something to check off my list.

He is faithful!

The Father is so faithful!  After only a couple weeks we have seen the Father provide just over $5,000 for our trip this summer!  We still have roughly $20,000 to go but it is so encouraging to see Him bless our trip.

As we continue to raise funds, please lift up that the Father would continue to bless this endeavor in abundance.

On Thursday we were also able to have our first team get together.  Though we were missing one member of our team it was so much fun to be able to get to know one another better, play some games and talk about what we will do while in Africa.

This weekend our team will attend an orientation retreat that is held for all the students and sponsors going on trips this summer (13 trips in total).  Please lift us up as we kick off a semester of preparation.  Following this weekend we will begin 10 weeks of training as well as a semester of team meetings.  As we spend more time together ask the Father to unite us as one in heart and thought.  Ask that we would connect well with the M's mission and be able to further their work.

Keep checking back for frequent updates as the semester progresses.

For All of Us,

Dayla
